Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1/4 cup Glover Street Market's Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour. Use King Arthur Measure for Measure Flour to make this gluten-free.

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the broth, cider, vinegar, lemon juice and seasonings. Pour over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender.
  2. Remove chicken and keep warm. Skim the fat from the cooking liquid. In a small saucepan, melt butter, and stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the cooking liquid and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes or until thickened. Serve with the chicken.
